The Bridge School

About the School

Our Beginnings

The Bridge School is a private, co-educational childhood learning center modeled on standards of developmentally appropriate educational practices as set by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), USA. Its Preschool sits on its own 1300-square meter tree-lined property on 29 Cairo Street and 32 Canberra Street in the safe community of BF Northwest in BF Homes, Paranaque City. Its Grade School, likewise sits on two properties on both sides of the Preschool – 25 Canberra Street and 50 Cairo Street.

Our Mission

At The Bridge School, our mission is to keep alive a child’s natural enthusiasm for learning, to appropriately channel and challenge it, and to cultivate in each child a genuine desire and passion to continue learning. In so doing, we envision children who will grow up with a strong sense of who they are and what they can contribute to the world.

The Bridge School’s Preschool was founded in 2001 and Grade School in 2008 by Tere Tabuena-del Rosario, Katrina Tabuena-del Rosario, Michelle Tabuena-Filart, and Denise Tabuena-Lumbad. The school provides an exceptional learning environment for preschool and grade school children. Education at TBS is experiential, interdisciplinary, and collaborative, rooted on Christian principles and on an understanding of Filipino culture and values. Our commitment is to the whole child – heart, mind, body, and spirit.

Class Size/Ratio

At The Bridge School, we maintain low teacher-to-child ratios in all of our classes. In the Nursery classes (2.0 – 2.11 years old) and Younger Preschool classes (3.0 – 3.11 years old), we have a 1:5 teacher-child ratio in each class. In the Older Preschool (4.0-4.11 years old) classes, we have a 1:6 teacher-child ratio in the class. In the Kindergarten classes (5.0 – 5.11 years old), we have a 1:8 teacher-child ratio in the class. All with a maximum of 16 students in each class.  All of the Grade School classes maintain a 1:14 teacher-student ratio with a maximum of 22 students in each class.
